To secure the effective implementation of the RTE Act, the Multiple Action Research Group (MARG) works toward ensuring Right to quality, non-discriminatory and inclusive Education. That is accessible to all children. To ensure this we build capacities and equip communities to initiate action and accountability through legal empowerment strategies.
We captured the voice of a young student from a Government School in BIhar’s West Champaran district. Where the situation of government schools is in a bad state. Lack of access to quality school education is on the biggest impediments for girls in rural India in as much it limits their options for independence and fulfillment and is deeply disempowering.
If the right to education was effectively implemented, girls in India would not be in this predicament.
The Right to Education is a revolutionary step which can go a long way in getting to the very root of the problems of securing safety, overall development and access to education of girls. Properly implemented, it will enable empowerment of all sections.
