Ms. ANJU TALUKDAR presently serves as the Executive Director of Multiple Action Research Group (MARG). Passionate about justice and legal empowermentshehas written and edited books e.g. ‘Compendium on Laws Relating to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes’, ‘Manual on Right to Education Act’, ‘Rights of Muslim Women in India’. Previously, she practiced as an Advocate of the Guwahati High Court in Assam for several years. Further, she served as a Lecturer in the J. B. Law College, Guwahati, Assam, teaching Land Laws, Women’s Rights, Child Rights and Law of Contract. She worked in the Disability Law Unit (North-East) of Shishu Sarothi, a premier disability organization in the northeast. She set up the Assam Unit of the Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) in Guwahati to secure the rights of the marginalized, primarily through litigation. She also served as the State Adviser of Assam for the Supreme Court Commissioners on Right to Food.
