In collaboration with Fair Wear Foundation, MARG Organization is working to raise awareness about Workplace Standards, Gender, Training of Employees and Managers / Supervisors (Employee – Employer Training), Laws and Proper Behaviour. Thus, helping Garment Factories to comply with Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013 and Grievance System. In Export oriented Garment Factories, education process is the first and foremost important step in preventing and managing the Sexual Harassment at Workplaces. MARG Organization has conducted several Trainings at Workplaces based on module devised by the Fair Wear Foundation in Factories located at Noida, Gurgaon, Ludhiana, West Bengal and Gujarat. The training module was exclusively designed for Management / Supervisors and Workers of the Factories.
The objective of training under this Project is to sensitize employees and workers on gender issues and to avoid sexual harassment at workplace of women workers / employees as well as it would strengthen the Grievance Redressal Mechanism, it would also increase awareness about Worker’s Rights, to strengthen Professional Relationships, prevent bigger problems amongst Production Workers and the Management.
Fair Wear Foundation’s Complaint Procedure would ensure proper handling of harassment cases if the victim wants to file a complaint in the absence of other functioning grievance mechanisms.
