Development of Booklets on Various Laws
A project supported by National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi
MARG has developed a series of 27 booklets in English and Hindi on different human rights themes, on the rights of vulnerable and marginalized and spread legal awareness about the same in terms of knowledge of law; respect of rights and skills to secure rights. These booklets simplify the provisions of basic laws and legislations as well as key human rights conventions, so that readers can easily understand the rights of diverse sections, ranging from women’s rights, child rights, the rights of people with disabilities, that are easy to use and can be accessed even by those with basic literacy. The objective of publishing these booklets is to spread awareness about law and rights among the vulnerable and marginalized. This small step can go a long distance in improving their knowledge and obtaining appropriate redressal in times of need.
